Rick and Marty Lagina - Curse of Oak Island - History Channel

Curse of Oak Island hasn’t produced much treasure lately, but there were smiles, especially from Rick Lagina, who heard an expert’s opinion on the theory that Vikings worked with the Templars. Thanks to new structures found, it seemed to be exciting news from the History Channel.

Curse Of Oak Island – The Expert On Vikings And Templars

It was archaeoastronomer Professor Adriano Gaspani who surprised Rick Lagina when he made a serious pronouncement. After examining the monuments, he pointed out that they seemed to have been constructed at the same time as Nolan’s Cross. Although modern explorers think they know a lot, people from ancient times also knew enough to get around the world. So, Adriano Gaspani noted that experts built the monuments.

The Curse of Oak Island might soon reveal more secrets. And, the expert, Gaspani seemed convinced of the possibility that the Vikings and the Templars worked together. While that seemed astounding, Rick liked the idea. After all, it took experts in navigation and geometry to make them. Who could it be? Who was around in 1200? That narrowed things down a lot.

As the Templars had the know-how for navigation, if the Vikings were in the area, then it’s possible they came across each other. Perhaps, the story went, they co-operated. On a side note to that discussion, there was a new structure found in the swamp. Meanwhile, the Dumas miners were still busy working in the Garden Shaft.

While it all sounded exciting, viewers on Reddit got tired of endless theories. After Season 11’s 18th Episode aired, History Channel viewers grumbled a bit. One person commented:

Why is the b-llsh-t running long tonight, please stop the ride.

Others also sound impatient for something other than muddy structures to be found. And who can blame them for that? Some people just started getting interested when it was back to theories and speculation. Here are a few comments:

Still need a Phips logo or Templar cross on the side of the ox treasure wagon to make things crystal clear for the more simple-minded among us.
Nothing links Vikings and Templars after an hour.
If I were producing the show – they wouldn’t find the gold until the season finale – so episode 25 or so.
Oh well, at least next week they find a piece of silver and at least one ‘Oh, Look at that!?”
Will History Channel viewers be back to watch next week? Certainly, they will. After all, the teasers seem exciting. And the word “treasure” was bandied about.

What are your thoughts about the theory that the Vikings and the Templars hooked up and buried treasure on the island? Do you think it’s likely? What about the slow progress on the Garden Shaft?
