‘Alaskan Bush People’ Ami Brown Forced To Evacuate Her Home
Ami Brown took to social media to share a scary update with fans Monday evening. The Alaskan Bush People star was forced to evacuate from her home due to a wildfire on the mountain. Here are the details of what happened and when she’ll be back home.
Ami Brown Gets Woken Up By Loud Thunder & Fire
The ABP matriarch posted a video to Instagram on Monday. She opens the clip by discussing a loud thunderclap that she heard early that morning. Ami says that the thunder was so loud that it woke her up from a dead sleep and shook her house. Immediately, she thought that fire could result from the lightning that caused the thunder she heard.
“When I looked out my balcony doors, I saw three bears running to the top,” she recalled. “Very fast.” Then she said that she began to look around for sparks of fire or smoke. At that point, the Alaskan Bush People star said she saw nothing.
She proceeded to lay back down, thinking that she could take advantage of the storm weather and get some more rest. As she tries to get back to sleep, she hears another huge thunderclap. “They sounded like bombs going off,” Ami said in her clip. However, she was able to drift off back to sleep.

Ami Brown said that she had her Starlink off, which is her connection to the internet. So, she wasn’t receiving any messages while she was asleep. When she looked at her phone and had service again, there were numerous messages from her children.
They were alerting her to a fire on Palmer Mountain, where she lives. The kids told her to pack the cats in the car and get down the mountain as quickly as she could. So, she packed a few changes of clothes, got her important paperwork, a couple of Pepsis, and put the cats in the car.
The Alaskan Bush People star said that she was currently working her way down the mountain. “Don’t panic or anything. I think they probably contained it,” she concluded. “Until next time. Peace and blessings! Stay tuned.”
Alaskan Bush People Star Updates Fans On Wildfire Status
Several hours passed before fans heard from Ami Brown again. She posted a second video on Instagram updating everyone on where she was. “I made it down the mountain safely,” she shared. Gabe Brown’s wife came to ensure she got down the mountain okay.
“The fire is 100% contained,” she said in the clip. “They’re now doing mop-up duty on it.” Unfortunately, there are several other wildfires in the area that she’ll need to keep an eye on.
Ami went on to thank her followers for all of their well wishes and “stay safes.” She also thanked the fire crews and everyone who played a part in containing the wildfire.
Fans expressed their support in the comment section. “Hi Ami, glad you are ok, please stay safe,” wrote one follower. Another chimed in, “I’m happy to hear you are safe.” A third fan commented, “You’re beautiful inside and out. Glad you are okay.”
