During an interview with The Sun, he made it clear that he believes there was bias against Julie because of her celebrity status. He also felt confident that she might have been released sooner, possibly by next spring or summer, especially after her sentence was reduced in September 2023.

However, now that the resentencing has failed, Sergent and the legal team, along with Savannah Chrisley, are determined to keep fighting. They are aiming to appeal the decision, and Sergent remains hopeful for a better outcome, even though the road ahead seems challenging.
