Joe Rogan REVEALS The Truth About Oak Island

Up until recently, up until the last couple of decades,
they started uncovering things like Gocke and all these other structures
that are clearly from more than 12,000 years ago.
I know too much, unfortunately—I read too.
It’s a very disturbing thing,
but the most disturbing thing is that there’s no list.

Beginning from a centuries-old quest for treasure
to the recent revelations made by comedian Joe Rogan
on his famous podcast, here are the shocking truths
about the Oak Island Treasure.

As the world watches the Lagina brothers
take on the challenge of unearthing the legendary treasure
of the mysterious Oak Island, even Joe Rogan
has had to get his head around what is going on
at the island located off the south coast of Nova Scotia.

Once having commented about the strange hole in the ground
that he believed must have been built by pirates,
there’s one island that has, um,
like this crazy hole in the ground
that was made by pirates.

You could tell that he was fascinated
by how the pirates crossed the Atlantic Ocean
just so that they could build a complex trap
that could potentially do more harm than good
to anyone trying to get to their treasure.

This is just one of the many fascinating things
about the treasure hunt that has taken place for more than two centuries.
Can’t say we found the flood tunnel itself,
but what I see and hear is a lot of water rushing in.

Another thing that may set the treasure hunt apart from all the others
is that the location of this treasure is actually known.
However, while we may already know that the treasure is hidden
somewhere on Oak Island, the real challenge
is recovering it from its hiding place.

In fact, despite the many different attempts and approaches
to extract this treasure—not to mention the six lives that were lost
in an attempt to achieve this feat—
nobody has been able to claim the treasure for themselves.

Be it John Wayne or President Franklin D. Roosevelt,
nobody has succeeded in solving the puzzle of Oak Island.
What exactly is this treasure, you may ask?

Well, for starters, many believe that the treasure
is one that was buried on the strange island for many centuries.
However, this is where the mystery of the treasure begins,
because while some may speculate that the treasure belonged
to Queen Marie Antoinette,
some believe that the great Bard himself, William Shakespeare,
either buried it there himself
or got someone else to travel from Europe to North America
to bury his treasure and some of his unpublished manuscripts with it.

Some would even say that he got Sir Francis Bacon to do it.
The involvement of Sir Francis Bacon in this mystery
has led to controversy of its own,
as some historians believe that he was the one
who wrote Shakespeare’s masterpieces, not the great Bard himself.

Either way, as much as we want to find
some other masterpieces from this genius of literature,
we might be disappointed to only find the gold
rumored to be hidden by Captain Kidd.

Regardless of who the treasure belonged to,
oh here look, yeah that says “Kidd’s treasure.”
Several generations of men spent a good part of their lives
crossing the seven seas in the hope
that they would be the ones to emerge victorious
with whatever treasure they would find
on the dangerous island.

We say dangerous because the chances of coming across
this massive pile of gold, if you will,
were and still are way lower
than the chances of coming across the fatal booby traps
scattered all over the island,
which further adds an element of danger
to the already difficult treasure hunt.

Frustrate the efforts of would-be treasure hunters
to shut off the flow of water to the booby trap system
that guards the Money Pit.

Maybe it’s because of the legend of the treasure hunt
that many cannot ignore its pull.
The story goes all the way back to 1795
when a kid by the name of Daniel McGinnis
came across a strange circular depression
on the ground somewhere on the island.

You know you’re looking in the McGinnis file
for Daniel McGinnis, because you know he’s supposedly
one of the original finders of The Money Pit.
Taking his mind to tales of buried treasures told to him,
the boy gathered some of his friends
so that they could begin work on digging
into the weird sunken patch.

Surely this must be what the bedtime tales were all about!
Imagine their excitement when they came across flagstone
two feet below the surface.

Encouraged, they continued digging,
only stopping to ponder on some strange discoveries
they made as they dug a pit.

For example, they noticed that the pit they were digging into
was lined with old pick and shovel marks.
This told them that somebody definitely made
and filled up this hole.

Who? Well, maybe finding the treasure
they must have been trying to hide
will reveal our mystery figure.

Unfortunately for the lads, despite digging out a massive ten-foot hole,
they never came across any booty.
Without the funds, tools, and manpower
to continue with their excavation,
the boys were forced to quit.

From then on, however, many have been hoping
to continue to work on what is now known
as the legendary Money Pit.

However, it took almost a decade
for the next group of treasure hunters
to find their way to the legendary Money Pit.
At this point, thousands of young treasure hunters
made their way to the fabled Money Pit,
with the notable one being the Onslow Company,
having arrived in 1802.

With pickaxes and shovels, they wasted no time
getting to work with their tools.
They chopped through oak logs every ten feet
as they got deeper into the ground.

Apart from that, they came across strange layers of putty,
charcoal, and coconut fiber.
I think there are big chunks of coconut fiber—
that is very interesting!

Look at this! Rick, convinced that this meant
that this hole was created by some humans,
continued digging until they struck something solid in the ground.
While they would have been pleasantly surprised
to come across a solid stone slab,
their fascination must have quickly turned to fear and disappointment
as they scrambled out of the hole
so that they wouldn’t be drowned
in the rapidly growing flood in the hole.

“Yep, yeah, we’re getting out of here, it’s not worth it!”
Forced to stop their work, the company
tried to question what could have caused the flooding
and why such a thing happened.

Was this a trap? Unable to come up with the answers,
the company had to deal with the discovery
of the stone slab, which had the inscription,
“40 ft below, 2 million lb lie buried”
in an unrecognizable script.

Searchers from the Onslow Company found
a large smooth stone slab at a depth of 90 ft.
As they tried to wrap their heads around
the meaning of the inscription,
they also had to deal with the fact
that the island may actually be cursed.

Now, there may have been rumors
that seven people had to die before the treasure could be found.
It better be worth it, because so far,
six people have already met their demise
as they tried to overcome this challenge.

There’s the famous Oak Island legend:
six people have died, then a seventh has to die
in search of the treasure,
and that’s when all will be revealed.

Either way, this hasn’t stopped many
from making the trying trip across the planet
so that they can give a good go
at finding this hidden treasure.

While some of them believe
that this treasure may have belonged to either Captain Kidd
or the PA and Queen,
others suspect that maybe the treasure
really belonged to the Freemasons.

After all, the island had a bunch of Masonic imagery
scattered all over.
Maybe that is what drove the Truro Company
to take on the challenge of Oak Island in 1849.

Unfortunately for them, they joined the long line of people
who were forced out of the hole
by the ever-emerging flood in the pit.
However, unlike their predecessors,
the Truro Company came to notice something
that could be a game changer.

After noticing that the flood water was slightly salty
and seemed to follow the tide,
the team was led to a narrow channel
which could lead to the treasure hidden underground.

Despite going further than most,
the flood and the complex defenses set up by nature
—or by some people who were determined
to keep people away from their treasure—
proved to be fatal to the Truro Company’s attempt
at finding this mysterious treasure.

“I think we might have hit a collapsed tunnel,
some sort of linear feature of wood that got disturbed.”

However, while the Truro Company took a bath,
this didn’t stop others from taking the trip to Oak Island.
After all, why couldn’t they be the ones
to outsmart the flooding booby traps?

However, despite the development of equipment
from pickaxes and shovels to the use of water pumps,
the flood had always been the straw
that broke the camel’s back when the treasure hunters came against it.

Even the old gold salvage group couldn’t overcome the flood
with their advanced equipment and divers in 1909.
Even Franklin D. Roosevelt was haunted
by his failure to overcome the challenge
of the Oak
