Chrisley Todd’s estranged son initially

investigator for the Georgia Department
of Revenue in the aftermath of the fraud
case verdict Todd is being sued by Amy for
defamation in relation to his remarks
regarding her during his appearance on
his daughter’s podcast Chrisley
Confessions Todd disclosed in her
daughter Savannah Chrisley’s podcast

remarks regarding Amy were not malicious
rather they were motivated by his
frustration he disclosed that following
his conviction for fraud conspiracy he
became so enraged that he no longer
cared about the content of his
statements in the podcast episode The
Todd Father Savannah inquired of her
father did you harbor any animosity
towards the circumstances that I am
currently facing at the outset and
particularly in the preceding months and
so what was that like Todd responded
that his anger developed as a result of
his assertion to his followers that he
is confident that God will provide
evidence to establish his
innocence I believe that my anger was
exacerbated by that statement Todd and
Julie were indicted in 2019 on 12 counts
of tax evasion bank and wire fraud and
conspiracy the indictments allege that
the Chrisleys intentionally swindled at
least $30 million from community
institutions from 2007 to 2012 by
inflating their net worth in order to
secure loans the prosecution contended
that the couple intentionally concealed
millions of dollars they earned from the
USA Network series Chrisley Knows Best as
well as $500,000 in taxes Todd was
required to pay in 2009 at the time of
the indictment this form of tax evasion
had been ongoing for more than a decade
Todd was subsequently convicted of
conspiracy to commit bank fraud
conspiracy to defraud the United States
and tax fraud on June 7 conversely Julie
was found guilty of tax fraud conspiracy
to defraud the United States and
conspiracy to commit bank fraud
