Savannah Chrisley Pens Emotional Tribute A Year After Death of Ex-Fiancé Nic Kerdiles
Savannah Chrisley is keeping Nick Cordell’s memory alive a year after her ex-fiancé passed away.
The reality star is now paying tribute to the former hockey player by re-sharing her original post mourning Nick’s passing, writing, “I can’t believe it’s been a year. Still don’t want to believe it.”
The next slide shows an image of a pile of white roses and a photo of Nick and Savannah from their engagement shoot alongside a Bible verse.
Savannah writes, “Thank you for all the signs you send me.”
At the time of the accident, police told local Nashville news station WKRN that Nick was riding his motorcycle through a residential area and collided with the driver’s side of an SUV.
The 29-year-old was transported to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Following the news of his death, Savannah, who was with the athlete from 2017 to 2020, penned an emotional tribute on Instagram saying,
“Nicholas Henry Stefan Cordelus, I wish you could see all the people that are showing up and loving you right now.
I can see that grin of yours so clearly. You left such a mark on this world, and it’s so empty without you.”
She continued, “It is impossible to believe that you are really gone. I am not sure how to even absorb that news.
I don’t know how to react. I am so sad and so numb.”
Savannah then addressed Nick’s death on an episode of her podcast, “Unlocked,” saying,
“I’m also still mourning the loss of someone who meant the absolute world to me.
Nick and I were in each other’s lives for six years. We were engaged. There were so many great memories,
and at the end of the day, Nick made a huge impact on my life, and he left such a mark on this world.
I mean, I cannot tell you how many people have reached out and told me stories about how Nick impacted their life.
And if his passing teaches us anything, I think it’s to love and love hard,
and to treat people with so much love and kindness because that’s exactly what he did.
So Nick, I love you. You’ll be missed, and you left a mark.”
