Savannah Chrisley SHARES the Sweet Email Mom Julie Chrisley Sent From Prison
Savannah Chrisley shares a sweet email
her mom Julie sent her from prison after
Savannah messaged Julie lyrics to CC
Winans’ song “Be Still and Know.”
The matriarch writes back, as seen in a
screenshot posted to Savannah’s
Instagram story on August 21st, saying:
“Sav, thank you for sending this.”
Julie ends the message with, “Love you always, Mama.”
Julie Chrisley is currently serving time
for her 2022 conviction of tax evasion
and bank fraud. However, the family is
awaiting Julie’s resentencing after an
appeals court found that there was
insufficient evidence in her and Todd
Chrisley’s bank fraud case to show she
had been involved in the scheme when it
first began in 2006.
In another post to her Instagram story,
Savannah says Julie’s motion to attend
an upcoming court hearing regarding the
resentencing via Zoom was denied.
Savannah adds in text on the post:
“When you are in prison, it is very
customary to attend via Zoom.”
As for what will happen if Julie isn’t
able to virtually tune in to her hearing,
Savannah claims: “My mother will be
shackled and transported for the next
month—plane, bus, etc.—with men,
some of whom are violent.”
Noting that she’s not sure when she’ll
be able to speak to Julie again,
the Chrisley Knows Best alum adds
this punishment does not fit the alleged
crime.
As fans know, the family patriarch
Todd Chrisley is also serving time
on fraud and tax evasion charges.
On a recent episode of her Unlocked podcast,
Savannah revealed how her father reacted
to learning Julie’s sentence was overturned.
The 27-year-old said, “That’s the only thing
he cares about right now is getting her home,”
and added that her dad cried happy tears
at hearing the news.
In fact, Savannah said her dad is fine
that his own 10-year prison sentence
was upheld in the latest appeal,
but as for Julie, Savannah explained:
“Mom obviously was heartbroken for Dad,
but hopefully she can come home,
and then she can go visit him,
and that will be a game changer
for his overall mental health and wellbeing,
and for hers too.”
