The Oak Island team is once again diving deep into their exploration of the island’s enigmatic swamp, this time with new technology and tools.

In a recent meeting, Marty Lagina, his son Alex, and geoscientists Jeremy Church and Burton Cosgrove, alongside diver Tony Sampson, discuss plans to conduct a comprehensive geophysical scan using the EM-31A device.

This tool, which measures ground conductivity up to 30 feet deep, is being deployed to detect metallic objects and other anomalies beneath the swamp and across the island.

Jeremy and Burton’s goal is to uncover clues in areas like the swamp, where a past seismic scan revealed a ship-shaped anomaly.

The EM-31A’s data collection will help the team identify potential man-made structures or treasures hidden underground.

They are particularly interested in revisiting the anomaly to determine if it could be the remnants of an ancient galleon, a theory they’ve explored before without conclusive results.

As Tony guides the boat in tight grid lines, they begin scanning the swamp and immediately receive some significant hits.

These signals suggest the presence of metallic objects, potentially corroborating earlier findings about the ship-shaped anomaly.

If further evidence of a shipwreck is found, it could be a monumental discovery that might finally unlock the centuries-old mystery of Oak Island.
